What is a Marshal in Employee Commute?
A marshal is a safety escort automatically assigned to a booking during specific dark hours to support employee safety, most commonly for female passengers traveling late at night, coordinated based on time, gender preference, and booking type rather than left to manual judgment.
How it works
Marshal assignment can be enabled or disabled per booking, per city, or per booking type, with each city configured to its own dark-hour window based on local transport safety policy. Security supervisors manage this through a dedicated Marshal Management Dashboard, where trips needing an escort are listed and assigned with a few clicks, availability shown through a simple green (available) or red (unavailable) indicator that prevents double-booking the same marshal. When a marshal is assigned, the trip sheet is automatically preponed by a configurable number of hours to allow adequate preparation time.
