What is Trip Reconciliation?
Trip reconciliation is the process of verifying that what a vendor bills for a trip actually matches what happened on the ground, distinct from billing automation, which generates the invoice itself once trip data is captured. MoveInSync's Transport Help Desk & Billing team handles this as part of its managed services, alongside invoicing and partner payments.
How it works
The system cross-references billed kilometers against actual GPS route data before every invoice gets approved, so vendors can't bill for trips that didn't happen or distances that weren't travelled. Automated reconciliation flags billing anomalies before payment goes out, instead of discrepancies surfacing only after a vendor has already been paid.
