Step 1: Audit Your Existing Routes and Stops for Safety Gaps
Before designing anything new, identify where your current setup falls short.

- Identify stops that are poorly lit, isolated, or require employees to wait in areas with low footfall at night

- Accessibility: The stop should be reachable on foot without crossing high-speed roads or navigating poorly maintained footpaths
- Waiting environment: Employees should be able to wait without standing in traffic or in areas with no shelter during rain
- Vehicle access: The stop must be accessible for the vehicle type on that route without requiring the driver to reverse or maneuver in high-traffic area.
- For night shifts: apply a stricter standard. A stop that’s acceptable at 9 AM may be unacceptable at 1 AM.
Step 3: Design Routes That Minimize Risk
Design the route itself, not just the stops as it carries safety implications.
- Avoid routing vehicles through areas with high accident rates, poorly maintained roads, or known flooding during monsoon
